Magnum, the gaming division of Multi-Purpose Holdings Berhad (“MPHB”) was incorporated in December 1968 and was the first private company to be granted a licence to promote, operate and manage 4-digit numbers forecast betting in Malaysia.
Magnum was converted to a public company in October 1969 and was subsequently listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“BSMB”) in May 1970.
Magnum is principally engaged in the gaming business, being the pioneer and market leader in the Malaysian 4 digit authorised gaming industry.
Magnum undertook a selective capital reduction and repayment exercise which was completed on 17 June 2008. Upon completion, MPHB owns 51% of Magnum Holdings Sdn Bhd (“MH”) whilst the remaining 49% is held by CVC Asia Pacific Limited. Magnum is now an unlisted private limited company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of MH.
